What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via Clerk, our authentication provider. When you connect a WordPress site, we store the site URL, name, and a securely generated API key. We do not store WordPress admin passwords or any credentials from your client sites.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the WP Assist service — connecting your WordPress site, displaying content, and enabling you to manage SEO and content through AI chat. We do not sell your data to third parties and we do not use it for advertising.
Data storage
Account and site data is stored in Convex, a real-time cloud database. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Both services are SOC 2 compliant. Data is stored in the EU/UK where possible.
WordPress site data
WP Assist reads content from your connected WordPress sites via REST API. This data (page titles, content, SEO meta, ACF fields) is displayed in your dashboard but not permanently stored — it is fetched on demand from your sites.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@wpassist.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
